Co-Owner and Creative Cat

Dana Faulk Query is co-owner and Creative Cat at Big Red F Restaurant Group, leading marketing and creative for all 13 locations alongside her husband and Big Red F founder, Dave Query.

Dana has restaurants in her bones, having grown up working alongside her brothers and sister in their parents’ Cajun-Korean restaurant starting at the age of eight. In her nearly four decades in the industry, Query has worked in every front- and heart-of-house position in the industry and has always found herself drawn to the creative side of restaurants. After graduating with honors from the University of Colorado, Boulder, she honed her marketing and strategy skills at Environmental Communications Associates and eTown, a non-profit, nationally broadcast, live-audience radio show. 

After cutting her marketing teeth, Dana rejoined her peers in the hospitality industry working with Salt Bistro and Sage Restaurant Group, eventually launching her own hospitality marketing company, Mable & Chung – named after her Cajun grandmother and her Korean mother. She and Dave were married in 2013, after which she joined forces with him to help lead Big Red F Restaurant Group.

Dana has served on the boards of EatDenver, Colorado Restaurant Association, Downtown Boulder Partnership, Boulder Chamber, Boulder County Farmers Market, Nigh, Growing Gardens and National Association of Asian American Professionals. She currently serves on the board of Zero Foodprint, and in 2023 was appointed to Colorado’s Liquor Advisory Group by Governor Jared Polis. Query is a passionately active member in all communities where a Big Red F restaurant lives.
